Heather Campbell

Heather Campbell NMLS#1127433 gained her background by working in compliance for a broker dealer in Houston in the institutional bond market where she was subject to Texas State Securities Board, SEC compliance and annual FINRA audits. Her experience in that industry led to a deep understanding of the Dodd Frank Act which has been beneficial in the mortgage compliance sector. Heather joined the family seller finance business as Compliance Officer in 2013 after the Safe Act was passed. She is now co-owner of Vetted Notes, LLC, offering mortgage compliance, audit advocacy and note brokering services. In addition to Campbell Mortgage Group, a mortgage brokerage for wholesale mortgage lenders.

Heather’s experience and understanding of mortgage compliance has helped seller financers, attorneys, investors, title companies and loan servicing companies with compliance concerns. Through the TLDA she has worked closely with the Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending to provide others in the industry with the best and current information regarding changes in both federal and state regulations.  Her understanding of the statutes and rules has led her to testifying at the Texas House and Senate to protect our industry.

Heather’s outlook of maintaining a close positive relationship with our regulating entities will continue to help the TLDA members stay up to date with the mortgage industry’s compliance trends and concerns.
