Kyndel Bennett

Kyndel Bennett is the founder and CEO of Cayetano Development, a developer of affordable residential communities throughout the State of Texas.  Kyndel is a 30-year veteran of the real estate industry having worked in development, construction, and as a principal in a billion-dollar real estate investment fund.  He has extensive experience in structuring, syndicating, developing and managing complex real estate projects.

He is actively involved in the Austin Community having served on the Boards of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas (Past Chair), the Colorado River Alliance (Past Chair) and a Trustee of Trinity Episcopal School (Past Chair).  He currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army and is a member of the Austin Area Research Organization (AARO). He is also a member of the Texas Business Leadership Council, a statewide network of CEO’s and senior business executives who advance a long-term vision of a prosperous Texas in a globally competitive business environment and an Executive Members of the Texas Real Estate Finance and Investment Center.

Kyndel’s work ethic and passion for community involvement has earned him numerous awards including the Big Brothers Big Sisters Outstanding Leadership Award and the Big Brothers Big Sisters Volunteer of the Year.

Kyndel received an MBA with a real estate concentration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina and a BA from the University of Texas at Austin. Kyndel is fluent in Spanish and is an instrumented rated private pilot.

Kyndel is married to his wife Laura and has two children Barkley (17) and Johnny (15).
